If you’re needing to be within close proximity to an airport, Bournemouth Airport is 27 miles away and it takes around an hour to get there by car. We don’t serve a traditional afternoon tea, however we do offer an afternoon menu of homemade piggy treats, including sandwiches and cakes. Our Afternoon menu is served from 3-5pm in our lounge areas and in our outside areas.

For your own pocket of paradise, walk southwards through the shallows past the first set of boulders. The artist spent three months in nearby Tahiti in 1930, and was enthralled by the lagoons’ infinite blues. With a higgledy-piggledy 37,000-mile coastline (the world’s second longest), Indonesia has a glut of beautiful beaches. One of its finest is Ora, snuggled away on the north coast of sparsely populated Seram island.


Our mellow yellow house situated along Studland Bay, truly rural, with uninterrupted views of the long stretches of Dorset’s sandy coastlines. Crantock offers a large expanse of golden sands surrounded by dunes between the Pentire Headland and the Gannel river. Seemingly perched on the edge of the world, this remote hideaway is just a ten-minute walk from Luskentyre beach and offers a homely base to explore the rest of the island. Don’t be surprised to spot the occasional southern right whale wallowing offshore at Die Plaat, a ruggedly beautiful swath of sand fringed by rocky limestone outcrops near Hermanus, South Africa’s whale capital.

The main beach in Bembridge runs down the coast from the spit at the edge of Bembridge harbour. The beach is comprised of stones, pebbles and shells but has sand below the high water mark and a large sandbank that extends into the Solent at low tide.
